First-class image quality

The monitor boasts a brilliantly sharp resolution of 1920 x 1080 (Full HD) pixels and a high contrast ratio of 5000:1. The TN panels with the latest generation LED backlight deliver a sharp image with a high level of detail and excellent brightness. One special feature is the EIZO UpView function: It ensures that the colours will not appear washed out if you have to look up at the monitor. A phenomenon that arises frequently in conventional TN panel monitors.

Full HD screen with anti-glare coating

The monitor has a Full HD resolution of 1,920 x 1,080 pixels that fills the entire screen. The monitor therefore has space to conveniently display even large quantities of information. Images from Full HD cameras are rendered true down to the slightest detail, without annoying black bars. Reflected light is scattered thanks to its anti-reflection coating. The benefit: Your eyes do not get tired as quickly.

Visibility Optimizer for clear images

Equipped with the Visibility Optimizer, the user achieves clear images thanks to the image enhancement technologies Defog, Low-Light Correction, and Outline Enhancer. The benefit: The image enhancement takes place in the monitor and surveillance cameras can be accessed easily.

The Defog function improves the quality of images that appear dull and blurry due to fog, snow, or other environmental factors.

Low-Light Correction

Low-Light Correction identifies dark and hard to see areas on the screen and adjusts the brightness of individual pixels accordingly, creating perfect images with a realistic depth effect, as dark areas are brightened up and bright areas are protected from becoming washed-out.

Outline Enhancer

The Outline Enhancer function analyzes the content displayed and ensures that noise is not amplified. At the same time, blurry areas are corrected, making the image sharper. With a high depth, objects in the foreground become more strongly focused to ensure realistic depth sharpness.

Deep black due to the contrast optimization

The ContrastEnhancer controls the LED backlight according to the brightness histogram of the camera signal. The contrast ratio, which can be as high as 5000:1 provides realistic, deep blacks.

Precise image rendering thanks to 10 bit conversion

The monitor converts 8 bit signals into 10 bit and selects the optimal colour values from a 10 bit look-up table (LUT). The effect: You will experience a colour-proof image with a fine resolution. The optimised data is then converted into an 8-bit output signal. This leads to fluid colour tone gradations. This is helpful in identifying dif cult to distinguish people and objects.

Different resolutions

The monitor supports different resolution settings up to its native resolution of 1920 x 1080 (Full HD) pixels.  Resolutions other than the native resolution can be rendered, proportionally scaled, or magnified to fill the screen. This is helpful if non-native resolutions are received or when using applications that are not capable of 1920 x 1080 (Full HD).

Save electricity and your eyes: Auto EcoView

A sensor is used to adapt the brightness of the monitor to the ambient light conditions automatically. This means that the monitor always has the most comfortable brightness, regardless of whether you are looking at the monitor during the day or at night. This means that your eyes do not get tired as quickly. In addition, you can save electricity in comparison to conventional settings.

Remote control included

You can operate the OSD menu, adjust the volume, and change between preset modes and input signals using the remote control. In addition, the monitor can be turned on and off using the remote control. The remote control is extremely practical for monitors in hard-to-reach areas or those hanging on a wall.

Protection against theft

The monitor has a bracket for a safety lock. You can securely connect the monitor to the desk or in another location to protect it against theft and stop it from falling down.

Integrated power unit

Thanks to an integrated power unit, the monitor can be connected to a power socket via a power cable.

Various connectivity options

The monitor has a DVI-D (24 Pin) and D-Sub (Mini-15-Pin) input. You can therefore connect digital and analogue devices. The two HDMI inputs support both PC signals and video and audio signals. The monitor can therefore be connected directly to a video camera and other AV devices.

24/7 use guaranteed

The monitor is built for 24-hour use and is impressively reliable. That is why EIZO gives a 2 years warranty.

Large dimming range for changing light conditions

Suitable for day and night operation: Thanks to the wide dimming range from 3 cd/m2 to 250 cd/m2, the monitor is ideally suited to changing light conditions. This means that the brightness of the monitor can be optimally configured for all ambient lighting and can be used without problems even in dark rooms.

How do I clean the surface of my EIZO LCD monitor?

To keep your monitor looking like new at all times and to prolong the service life of your device, we recommend cleaning it regularly. Clean the casing and LCD surface as described below:

IMPORTANT: Never use thinner, benzene, alcohol (ethanol, methanol or isopropyl alcohol), scouring agents or other strong solvents as these may damage the casing and the LCD display.

Remove marks by wiping the casing with a soft cloth, which you have previously moistened with a mild cleaning agent. Never spray wax or cleaning agents directly on to the casing. (The manual contains exact details.)

Where necessary, the monitor surface may be cleaned using a soft cloth (for example a cotton cloth or glasses cloth). Stubborn marks can generally be removed by wetting the cloth with a bit of water to increase the cleaning strength.

Which graphics cards does EIZO recommend?

We cannot make a direct recommendation. The output signal should be digital and should support the maximum resolution of the monitor.

What does "viewing angle" mean?

The viewing angle relates to the angle, beneath which the contrast is better than 10:1. These are normally values of 160° to 178°. These values do not provide any information about what enormous differences in contrast may result within the viewing angle. The contrasts should not change significantly for users with a perpendicular view and a slightly side-on view. It must not make a difference whether the viewer is looking at the middle of the image or the edge of the image. How much the contrast stability varies with different LCD technologies is best checked using a measurement diagram or by a direct visual comparison. The more stable the contrast in the user's viewing frustum, the better the image rendering.

What does "contrast" mean?

Contrast is the ratio of white to black and for monitors is normally stated as a dark room contrast from a controlled laboratory environment. Typical contrasts on printed paper are 6:1 for newspapers, 31:1 for laser printers, 49:1 for photo paper. For example, dark room contrasts cannot be achieved in the office because an extremely deep black cannot be achieved in normal ambient light – even with the screen turned off.
